Bring Me Your Quilt

Vintage Quilt Consultation & Preservation Assessment

Have a quilt that’s been tucked away in a closet, passed down through your family, or sitting in a box because you’re afraid to do the wrong thing with it?

Bring me your quilt.

During this one-on-one consultation, we’ll take a closer look at your quilt and talk through its history, construction, condition, and the best way to care for it moving forward.

Your consultation may include:

  • A visual assessment of the quilt’s construction and condition

  • Discussion of approximate age, style, and construction techniques

  • Identification of areas that may need repair or stabilization

  • Recommendations for cleaning and safe storage

  • Guidance on displaying or using the quilt

  • Discussion of restoration or repair options

  • Recommendations for batting, backing, binding, or other materials when applicable

  • Answers to your questions about caring for and preserving your quilt

Please note: This is an educational and preservation consultation, not a formal appraisal for insurance, estate, or monetary valuation purposes.

What to Bring

Bring the quilt as-is — please do not wash, repair, or alter it beforehand. If you know anything about its history, such as who made it, when it was made, or where it came from, bring those details along too. Old photographs, handwritten notes, or family stories can be especially helpful.

Investment

$75 - 45-minute consultation

$125 - 90 minute Extended

$175 - Quilt Collection Consultation — up to 3 quilts

$25 - Written preservation notes (Includes: Quilt Name, Approx. Date/Era, Construction, Materials, Condition, Notable Features, Recommended Care, Recommended Repairs, Storage Recommendations)

Repair/restoration estimate - Included if appropriate

Actual repair/restoration - Quoted separately

Your consultation includes a hands-on visual assessment and personalized care recommendations.

If your quilt needs additional repair or restoration work, we can discuss those services separately after the consultation.

Because every quilt has a story. Let’s make sure yours gets the care it deserves.
